Admission Procedure for academic session 2015-2017 (B.Ed)

Course :

RATE invites admission in Two years(2) Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) course and the method.

Subjects :

Available are BENGALI,ENGLISH, SANSKRIT, HISTORY, POLITICAL SCIENCE, GEOGRAPHY, WORK EDUCATION, MATH, LIFE SCIENCE, EDUCATION, PHYSICAL SCIENCE.

Approved intake for B.Ed is 100 every year in which almost 95% seats are to be filled up through Central counselling arranged by The University Of Burdwan. Remaining seats will be filled up through management quota.

Eligibility :

Candidates (both Fresh & Deputed) with at least 50% marks either in Bachelor's Degree and/ or in Master's Degree are eligible for admission. Relaxation will be 5% marks in favour of SC, ST and PWD.

NB :

50% or 45% marks (as the case may be), in Bachelor's Degree with Hons, may be determined either on the basis of Hons marks only or on the basis of Hons marks & marks of the Elective subjects taken together.

Course Fees :

Total fee for pursuing this course in the self financed college is Rs. 70,000/-(including University Exam Fess Rs.1500) per annum both for deputed & Fresh Candidates of which Rs.30000/-will be paid at the time of admission and the rest (i.e. Rs. 40000/-) will be paid in eight (8) equal instalments starting from the month of September every year. Note that total course fee for 2 –years is Rs. 1,40,000/- per students.

Age Limit :

Age of Fresh Candidates as on 30th June,2015 shall not exceed 38 years and there shall be relaxation of 5 years in favour of PWD category candidates.
